A very nice, lighthearted Christmassy book! (I don't celebrate it, but for some reason I still get drawn to books set around then!)

I loved the descriptions of the German town Connie and her friends visited. The descriptions of the bakery, the Christmas Markets, the smell of gingerbread and other Christmassy foods, really would help you to get into the spirit of Christmas.

I found Connie a little annoying at times, but am glad she got her happy ending in the end. I couldn't stand Heinrich. William on the other hand..well, he was amazing. I totally loved Pearl and the rest of the gang..I think the scenes involving them was more fun then Connie's scenes. And, of course, an honorary mention goes to Fritz, William's dog, who was quite the clever dog, who seemed to know what was best for Connie even better than she did!

Thank you to Pigeonhole and Jo Thomas for the chance to read this book.
