The Deacons of Bourbon MC haven't been an active MC for 10 years. Priest, their former leader dies and suddenly Travis, as a former Deacons member, is summoned back to New Orleans for Priest's funeral.

Travis has his own security business, he worked hard to turn his life around and isn't at all eager to face his past and the Deacons. In New Orleans, he finds out that the old club house is now an art gallery and the quick stay he planned won't be possible because there's Priests will and strange circumstances surrounding his death.

Billie is the current tenant, owner of the art gallery, she's a kind, bohemian, free spirit girl with a positive vibe. She lives above the gallery, loves the french quarter, she's completely passionate about art and tries to help artists assisting them in exposing their work.

Like most badass bikers, Travis hates when things don't go as he planned so when he enters the art gallery, he acts like an arrogant bastard because he just wants to sell everything and get back to his life. To him, Billie is just another complication and he shouldn't notice how hot she is. Billie isn't very happy with the situation too, especially because she feels she found the place where she belongs and doesn't want to give up her space, the french quarter and her independence. She is even less thrilled by the fact that Travis gets under her skin without even trying. Tempers flare, sparks fly and emotions run high...

I really enjoyed the second book in the Deacons series. It was easy to like Travis and Billie and I really enjoyed their story but I wanted a little more development about the unanswered questions surrounding their exile and Priest's death. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
