Forest of Memories

Forest of Memories

2001 • 221 pages

A very interesting book by a Scottish Forester, recounting stories of his time in West Africa where he worked for thirty years.
A fascinating array of stories, well told and well mixed with excellent descriptions of the environment, the culture and the people.
It includes a chapter set in Canada, on a visit to a distant aunt, but concentrates mostly on Ivory Coast, Liberia, Ghana, Guinea and Nigeria.
