Forgotten Lives moves just like a real police case does...slowly. This does not mean that Ray Britain does not keep us entertained. Britain breaks down the case and how it is solved in a fascinating way. I learn more and more every week and I love it.

Britain also provides a diverse cast of characters. I love how Britain describes people by not just their looks but by how they do their job which showcases a person's personality more than just describing them physically. The only thing I will note on this is I had to go back to the beginning to see if Britain ever describes Dougie Stirling, our narrator. I couldn't find a description so I cannot tell you if he fits in the diversity category.

The mystery is good. I especially love the wrap up at the end where most of the secrets are revealed. Britain also gives his readers a little gift (I'm not telling!). Let's just say yet another twist in the case.

If you love police procedurals then, Forgotten Lives is the book for you.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
