This series is so good!! Definitely darker and it was interesting reading a series where the main characters aren't the usual good guys. They are just the lesser evil and have no intentions of being good.
There are darker aspects – cw: slaves, abuse, rape (flashbacks)
Books 3 and 4 are/were harder to read because of what we learn happens to one of the characters. A great series and I may read it again in the future.
