This was an enjoyable enough read. The characters and how they dealt with past traumas were realistic enough, although Eve's behaviour did make me want to shout at the screen a few times.

However, what let me down was the lack of proper police procedures/lack of professionalism by our main detective, Detective Locke. He was a likeable enough character, but his behaviour really was unprofessional.

The epilogue was also contrived. The book really could've done without it.

Thank you to Pigeonhole and Niki Mackay for the chance to read this book.
