Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing

Perry's memoir includes pretty much the exact same confessions he's been making in countless interviews for the past few weeks. He used alcohol and drugs starting at age 14, he's been in and out of rehab, he gets involved with women and then breaks up with them before they can hurt him. I am not convinced that the sobriety he finally achieves towards the end of the book will be maintained long-term. I would be sad but not surprised if he doesn't make it to his 60th birthday.

Oh and telling the world about makeout sessions you had with famous actresses, presumably without asking for their permission, is a shitty thing to do. I loved Chandler Bing; I don't think I care much for Matthew Perry.
