Martin ha il suo legendarium, un compendio inesauribile di episodi e dettagli che riecheggia Il Silmarillion di J.R.R. Tolkien: un banchetto fastoso per tutti gli appassionati e un potente specchio delle grandezze e miserie della natura umana, nei bassifondi della carestia o assisa su un trono, nel fango d'una battaglia o sul dorso d'un drago. Il tutto impreziosito da splendide illustrazioni.

It's a series of chronicles more than a novel. It's kinda boring and tries to cover way too much history and characters at once. Maybe one day I'll read it fully, but definitely not right now.
