And there we go. The philosophical exposition begins. After the fight is over, with no explanation on just how humans managed to win, we get scenes of humans being assholes, and then the big reveal of yet another alien civilisation who helped us “just because”. There was a whole bunch of lines about how lives are just matter and “things” and nothing more than dust. Not particularly convincingly delivered, but it did give the author the opportunity for fan service from several characters who had previously died, as well as a very convenient way to solve the problem of two Kuronos. Oh well, as far wrapping up dangling threads go, this one isn't too bad I suppose.
