Ge-Mi (Part One) (Nine Star Press,978-1-951880-72-9, 2020) is a sweet futuristic romance written by Mell Eight. Nevada is a beautiful snow leopard who has been hiding his whole life. No one has ever seen him and then one day his enemy does and it proceeds like nothing he dreamed about.

I always laugh when I see the romances listed as “clean and sweet” because they are usually heterosexual with a religious overtone. As if no other genre can have a sweet and non-sexual romance. Ge-Mi proves my point as it is well-written, engaging, nail-biting at times, and the main characters do not even kiss. Yet I was fully engaged and I cannot wait until the next book.

Eight gives readers plenty to coo about and to flinch in reaction to in Ge-Mi. This is a well-rounded science-fiction romance book. It has action, mystery, genetic engineering, and fluffy cats (laugh). Part Two cannot come soon enough!

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
