I have been wanting to read this book for a long time but like I tend to do with a lot of hyped books I put off reading it but luckily it ended up being March's pick for the Lost in Romance Book Club and I am so glad I have finally read it. This book tackles chronic illness. Chloe has fibromyalgia and chronic pain. It's an invisible illness and I think Talia did a great job of depicting the things someone with this illness has to go through and deal with. I don't have any personal experience with this illness so I can't comment on how accurately it's depicted I can just say that it seems like an accurate depiction and recommend you reading on voices reviews. There is more representation in this book but the chronic illness is the one that gets the most attention which isn't a bad thing, but I would have liked for other things to have been elaborated on more. Like for instance domestic violence is mentioned but it's glossed over. I loved Chloe and Red as a couple. They both have hardships from their pasts that they haven't really gotten over so they both struggle to trust so understandably there are misunderstandings and drama and the drama actually made sense to me based on what has happened to them each individually in the past. I loved the banter between the characters as well. Chole can come off as a bit of a... well a bitch but I understand why she distanced herself the way she did, and I loved how she opened up throughout the book. Overall I really loved this book and look forward to reading the other books in the series.
