Lou is constantly finding ways to stretch time. Time for meetings. Time for lunches. Time for the one “last” fling. Time for everything and everyone but his wife and kids.
When Lou meets Gabe (a homeless man who sits outside his building) he decides to help Gabe and lines up a job for him in the mailroom of his building. Gabe is odd and cryptic. Soon Lou's life is interrupted and changed.
Time...is it a curse or a gift? What happens when we squander the time we have with our families and loved ones? There are no do-overs...no take-backs and no retries. As Lou is too soon to discover...time simply runs out.
Now this is a book for Christmas. It reminds me of those movies of old, where life lessons are learned after some dire circumstances have taken place. I really enjoyed this one as it brings the meaning of Christmas home.
