Another excellent book by Karin Slaughter!
One of the reasons I love Karin Slaughter is because she never disappoints as an author!
Her books get you hooked right from the start and Girl, Forgotten was no different!
As always the story was really well written with some great characterizations. The way some of them were written made it so easy to dislike them!
Reading Emily's story made me feel so sad for her, especially when she wasn't even at fault. Without giving away anything, what was done to her was terrible and no, I'm not talking about her being murdered, although that in itself was terrible.
Andrea Oliver, was an interesting character and I liked her. Wouldn't mind reading a few more books with her and Mike in it!
Thank you to NetGalley , Karin and publishers Harper Collins for the chance to read this book.
I purchased this as soon as it was released but I actually got really ill and was in the hospital for months and never got around to reading it, and then I think I forgot that I hadn't read it yet. Who knows what was going on back then? The whole world was a crazy place at that time. Anyway, I finally read it and could kick myself for not reading it sooner! It was so good! The mystery was a page-turner and I literally couldn't put it down. I read it straight through and I gave it 5 stars, but one of those stars is for nostalgia alone. Lol I swear, Karin Slaughter mentions so many of the pop culture things in her books that were right up my alley when I was growing up and living in Henry & Clayton County Georgia myself. It's so fun! Like many other readers, I want to read more with Andrea and her partner Catfish, too! This was a great book. Would definitely recommend it to those who enjoy reading thrillers.
