Evil always seeks a foothold. We must not give it one. The electrifying conclusion to the New York Times and Indiebound bestselling Serpent & Dove trilogy is perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Kendare Blake. Lou has spent her whole life running. Now, after a crushing blow from Morgane, the time has come to go home—and claim what is rightfully hers. But this is no longer the Lou her friends knew. No longer the Lou who captured a chasseur’s heart. A darkness has settled over her, and this time it will take more than love to drive it out. From Serpent & Dove to Blood & Honey and concluding with Gods & Monsters, Shelby Mahurin's stunning fantasy trilogy delivers thrills and romance.

What an amazing ending to this beautiful series! I had high hopes for this book and it did not disappoint. The writing was so beautiful, the characters had an amazing development and the plot kept me alert and I just couldn't put it down.
How did this story turned down like this? the first book was fun, nothing mind-blowing but managed to capture my interest till the end. But this? this was incredibly boring.
Well that was anticlimactic and sadly unfulfilling. I absolutely loved Serpent & Dove (5⭐s). Blood & Honey was ok (3.5 rounded to 4), but felt like a filler and was too long, for me anyway. Enter Gods & Monsters and disappointment outweighs the love of the series as a whole.
I am happy for the closure but honestly, this series could have been a Duology and it would have been met with better approval, again for me anyway. I know other readers loved all 3 books, but the last 2 seemed to drag on and didn't seem wholly necessary for the main part of the story.
Gods & Monsters can't be considered a filler since it's the last book, but man did it read that way and I found myself skimming through parts as they rehashed the situations endlessly. The water portion (for those who read, you should know) did not need to be that long and drawn out.
I enjoy this author's writing so will definitely read them again. This one just didn't click for me.
