American version of war and peace….?

Possibly my first “romance/drama” novel and it was solid. The ending is what made the book for me. Would have like more interaction between Scarlett and Rhet, who were great main characters.

The way Mitchell presented the African-American dialogue was annoying and frustrating. It either works or it doesn’t.

Was not interested in the war or the events that led to or were a result of it.

Worthy of being deemed a classic novel.
