The Gods, Goddesses, and Heroes Handbook: From Aphrodite to Zeus, a Profile of Who's Who in Greek Mythology

My review is for the eBook.
I've always loved & felt drawn to the Greek Gods, Goddesses & Demi-Gods.
I kinda hate how oversimplified this book is written but maybe it was intended for children to read?
I like the illustrations in this eBook of the Greek Deities.
The author seems to gloss over the fact that Demi-Gods-the child of a mortal & a Greek Deity existed, plus I don't like that some non-human beings in Greek Mythology, folklore are automatically described as a “monster” because this implies that they are automatically evil, which doesn't always apply to various beings in Greek Mythology, folklore Medusa is a good example of that, I also don't think the Minotaur in the middle of the labyrinth was evil either.
Describing the so-called “monsters” of Greek mythology & folklore as a non-human or a human-animal hybrids would be more accurate in my opinion.
Hades was tricked into becoming the ruler of the realm of the dead & hell (Tartarus) he isn't always as respected as some of the more well-known Greek Gods & Goddesses (in my opinion)
Hades isn't as problematic and hasn't really done a lot of questionable things like some of the more well-known Greek Deities have done.
Persephone & Hekate are both Chthonic (Underworld) Goddesses.
Hekate isn't Greek in her origin, she is associated with Lagina, Turkey and various countries, but she is still associated with Greek deities, Greek mythology & folklore.
It's a bit shocking to read about the in-depth questionable incestuous, familial relationships, the Greek Deities had & interactions between some of the Greek Deities and mortals, but I already know a lot about Greek mythology and folklore, but it's interesting to read about.
I'm not sure why the author keeps reffering to Disney films about the Greek Deities when they aren't exactly accurate of the Deities. The author even says the way Zeus is portrayed is not really accurate.
I much prefer accurate portrayals of Greek Deities/other Deities, their mythology & folklore.
Heracles, Perseus, Spartacus are some of my favourites. Demi-Gods and mortal heros are just as siginificant and interesting as the Greek Gods & Goddesses.
Not everyone's knowledge of Greek mythology & folklore is due to only watching Disney films
