Grip of Despair

Sam J. Fires manages to keep the adrenaline going in book two of the “After the End” series. I wasn't expecting Grip of Despair to be so good, but it was. No one really gets any answers, but we kind of do and I'm good with that as Fires keeps us guessing and cringing.

I like that Dunn is such an honest guy. There is a scene that is surprising amidst all of the chaos. It says a lot of Dunn. I can't wait to see where this story takes us and that's why I keep coming back for more Fires series because they usually keep me hooked.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
