I love Devney Perry's writing, but I didn't enjoy this book as much as I thought.
I loved the writing, enjoyed the banter between Bryce and Dash, and liked the murder mystery in it.

On the other hand, I was expecting Bryce and Dash to resist their attraction a little more. There was a lack of pining here. Bryce gave in to their attraction a little too soon, considering her goals and objectives.

I loved how she didn't let Dash get away with much, though. She was never intimidated and that was awesome!

The fact that the murder mystery wasn't solved in this book was annoying. I feel that the epilogue wasn't as enjoyable because we didn't get the whole picture.

It was an entertaining read for sure, but not a winner for me. I'm curious about the next book, so I might read it soonish.

Entering back into my Devney Perry era, and I'm definitely not mad about it! Maybe I will make it through her backlist this year. I really enjoyed this book! It had so much mystery and romance and it really had me wanting to watch Sons of Anarchy again for some Jax Teller vibes. The story follows Bryce, a journalist who's recently moved home to Clifton Forge, and Dash, president of a motorcycle club that's no longer active. Bryce is on a mission to expose the reason that the Tin Kings disbanded, but right when she is starting her research, a woman is murdered. Bryce and Dash join forces to clear his father's name, and naturally there are sparks. Dash is so protective of Bryce, and their romance is hot! I can't wait to read more of the series and see the mystery solved! Steel King is an adult romance 18+ for sexual content
