Hail Mary

Hail Mary

The first 25% or so of this one was slow going for me. It was REALLY wordy (IMO) with long conversations that could have been shortened to move the plot along faster (the fight scene at the beginning, the rib restaurant scene, and the BFF dog convo are a few examples.) Things started to pick up a bit more after that and I got more involved in the plot.

Both characters were likable for the most past. Mary had a couple times where I wanted to throttle her and felt she acted a little immature for a thirty-year-old, but for the most part, she was an enjoyable heroine. Jimmy was sweet and sexy and VERY all in from the minute he meets Mary. There was also a nice collection of secondary characters added to the mix.

If you are looking for a insta-everything, low angst, easy peasy read with some smokin hot sex scenes (the champagne bottle was HOT, but seriously things like that are what land people in the ER with sex-related injuries) then look no further and add this one to your TO READ list today.
