Absolutely lovely!

It is a story of the world's best pearl diver. She lost her arm when she was little, because the rose sharks love pearls more than humans do, and the girl was in between the pearl and the shark. But it doesn't matter, she has learned to swim and dive perfectly even with just one arm.
There is a legend of a huge pearl, the biggest of them all, called Apple of the Eye, and the Queen wants it. Once in every generation, they send everyone on a quest to search for the pearl. People get obsessed with it, with finding it, because the one who has it, will never want anything again.
The girl wants to find it as well, to become a legend.
One day she meets another girl, a little one, who also has lost an arm to the rose sharks. She is a pearl whisperer... she can hear the pearls' song.
And there is the mean woman, who wants the pearl so much she is ready to kidnap children...
They find the pearl, of course, but not the way they thought, and what happens then was unexpected.
I cried and laughed. I love this book, and I love Miranda and Sirkka. :-)
