Alright. I really wanted to LOVE this book. I absolutely adored most of the Fever books so far, and I was so happy this was going to be from Dani's POV. But... It just... didnt do as much for me as I hoped. Teeny spoilers ahead.

There was so much time spent in Dani's head I kind of tried to skim through those chapters. When did Dani/Jada become an angsty tween worried about why her “man” wasnt calling her. She went back and forth between the angst and the “Im sexy and strong and amazing.” I wanted more story here though. I liked what KMM did to reignite that, but we needed more about the conflict, and less about the love story. I think we all had a feeling that Ryodan and Dani were going to be “together”, but I was hoping it would be in the background like Barrons and Mac in most of the Fever books.

And when Ryodan “returns” hes such a... a... I dont even know how to put it. All he wants is recognition and reciprocation from Dani. What happened to the strong willed, take no shit characters from the previous books?? The Shazam bit was kind of interesting, but I dont think it made a lot of sense. Speaking of not making sense, SpoilerDani give Ryodan a reciprocal tattoo, and I didnt understand how that would work. Right?

Well, hopefully some of the next books will have some more about the nine!! Yes, there is a teeny bit of background on them. ::joy::
