His Dirty Demands

2019 • 306 pages

Unfortunately, this book had several things I absolute hate in a romance book. Constant talk about the hero's sexual past. Constant talk about how fat the heroine is, and for crying out loud she was a 29-year-old virgin!!!! Yes this is mentioned in the synopsis, but I didn't realize she would be that old. I was expecting a much younger heroine. I was ready to throw in the towel 30 pages in. However, a quiter I am not, so I soldiered on. I will not lie, the first 60% of this book was a hot mess. Cesare was an asshole that ran hot and cold. Alicia couldn't stop harping on how “fat” she is. No one in this company had an ounce of professionalism. Who goes around telling people an employee is a virgin??!! It just wasn't great.

However, the last 40% was better. People got their heads out of their asses. The plot seemed to come together more. We finally get sex. Cesare gets a personality transplant. Alicia stopped taking about how “fat” she is. On another positive note, for all the talk about his sexual past none of his former conquests show up. Last, it was all wrapped up in an incredibly abrupt ending.

This was heading towards a 2-Star rating, but the last 40% brought it up to 3-Stars. That said, I am on the fence about Dante's book. He is a complete manwhore, and I am sure Bethany will be a virgin. We will see I guess.
