I've said this before and I'll probably say this again and again: I love Lori Foster's books. I just don't know how Lori does it but I just can't put one of her books down when I start one. And yes, I am totally fangirling right now.

This book is the second book in Lori's Ultimate Series. I've never been a fan of MMA, although I actually love lots of different sports, but this didn't stop me from falling into this series.

Denver and Cherry have been dancing around each other for some time. Cherry has or seemed to have a flirty nature and that was the main reason Denver has been avoiding getting involved with her. So, Denver spends one night watching how Cherry dances and flirts with all the fighters while he sits brooding and drinking. Until, Cherry finally joins him and after an awkward conversation, because Denver is trying to keep her away from him almost at the point of rudeness, they leave the bar together.

So, at this point, I really didn't like that Cherry had to push Denver like that just to force him to make a move. But, you know, some guys are too hard headed. Anyway, their relationship is definitely steamy and hot but the constantly use of Denver's nickname for Cherry is a little annoying. Also, there were too many descriptions and dialogues about Cherry being stacked and Denver being too big.

Moving on, Denver turned out to be a really sweet guy. I loved that he was always touching her and kissing her, his huge commitment to his training and his protectiveness towards Cherry. I really liked Cherry too and I can relate to the reasons she kept flirting with all the fighters. I also loved their friends and how they are described as a big family and it's nice and funny how they deal with each other. Armie's interactions with Cherry and Denver are hilarious and we get to read about Stack and Vanity's attraction to each other. We also get Simon, Havoc and Rowdy back just for a little, tiny part.

Both Denver and Cherry had stuff on their past that come back to hunt them. I have to say that I hated, hated, hated Carver which only means Lori did an amazing job here. I liked that Pamela tried to fix what she did to Denver in the past. And loved Cannon's bonus scene.

Can't wait to read Stack's book!
