Dominic escapes the East Coast to Camassia Cove in Washington state to be with his daughter and leave behind a life of homelessness & loneliness. He's had to do everything to survive on the streets and that has included prostitution (male) but he doesn't know who he actually is in terms of attraction. He's never had the emotional space or security to experience intimacy of any sort. Luckily his first day in Camassia he runs into the Dalton brothers and more particularly Adrian Dalton.

Adrian is a teacher and an all around good guy who's always looking to help out those he can, particularly youth. Dominic fits the bill, and though he's a reluctant recipient of help, over the course of months Adrian is able to coax him to accept a leg up for him and more importantly for his little girl Thea.

Does everything play out a bit like wishful thinking? Maybe, but I didn't care. The warmth that exudes from Adrian & Dominic's time together is my Christmas reading and I don't regret it
