Dr. Samantha Leeds hosts her own late-night radio talk show on WSLJ. One day she receives a menacing phone call at her home, while miles away a prostitute is strangled to death. Nobody connects the seemingly unrelated events until more murders occur under similar circumstances.

Dr. Sam is what people call a radio shrink, a fraud and embarrassment to “real” psychologists. She hosts a nightime radio show called Midnight Confessions where listeners call in and discuss the topic of the night, sometimes seeking advice.
Dr. Sam starts getting weird voicemails at home and strange, threatening calls from “John” during her show. He says he knows her and that she must pay for her sins. Who is this guy? Will the police figure it out before it's too late?
So, I picked this one for a super specific prompt in a bingo I'm doing and was pleasantly surprised. Not bad for the first in a police procedural series. I figured out most of the mystery early on but I still enjoyed reading this one...enough that I'll try the 2nd and see if I like it before deciding on reading the rest.
