This is a fairly basic examination of the many ways that the human race can become extinct. Some ways are self-inflicted; some are just cosmic accidents.

Brin wrote and narrated the book. As a science fiction writer, this book is in Brin's wheelhouse. He writes a playful and informed book. The exposition is handled on a shallow level, but he makes up for it with the breadth of the treatment. The book makes for a short, entertaining read.
