I would classify this as Memoir Plus. It combines Elissa's real-life experiences with fact-based reporting. I was surprised by the topic, as it mirrored some of my own experiences dealing with health care professionals. If you liked the Barbie movie, this might be for you. Feminism for the win! By the way, she was ‘blurbed' by Cheryl Strayed who wrote my all-time favorite memoir Wild and who has publicly stated she will not blurb any more books.
