There are beautiful moments in this book and it was really interesting to discover a bit Pakistan through the eyes of someone who actually loves it.

That being said, the part about forgiving at the end just didn't sit right with me, to each their own but the whole “we don't forgive for the other we forgive for ourselves” is toxic as all hecks and I just can't get over that conclusion that forgiving a murderer is the thing to do to move on, you can move on without forgiving not everything can be forgiven and not everything SHOULD be.
