This was a pretty thought provoking book. In the end, I almost feel sorry for Walter. Not who he was in the beginning, but what his actions, regardless of reasons, made his life come down to. I wonder if he did have a mental disorder, or was he a Psychopath? The bad guys are never my favorite characters, but this 1 fascinates me. This isn't a blog, so I'll leave it at that, but the book does make you think.
90% build up and very little pay off. Though the story was somewhat interesting, the book conveyed very little progress for any characters. Walter's proclaimed loss of virginity with Eliza a twist is the closest to a twist you'll find. Disappointed.
Not a fan of this book .... The main character was just too mild for me to care that much about her. The premise of a teen survivor who survives and grows up to confront her kidnapper is interesting. But Elizabeth/Eliza was so mild - and her confrontation barely registered.
It was quick and had potential so I gave it 2 stars. It just didn't play out to my expectations.
