Weston Davis is a tatted up CIA billionaire operative. His life and career choice don't make falling in love easy, and he hasn't had much use for it. That is until he locks eyes on Aspen Kennedy from across a crowded club. Aspen is out for a night on the town with her friend, when she locks eyes with one gorgeous piece of manmeat. One explosive weekend later, Weston is gone without a trace, and Aspen is left with one adorable reminder of the man that crushed her heart...
“I was awed at the sight of the perfect little person we'd created. But mostly, I realized I was even more in love with Aspen than the day we'd parted. It consumed me, made me want to wrap the two of them up and take them away. Somewhere safe, where it would be just the three of us.”
Surprisingly (because I've been less than impressed with these insta-super short books lately) I really enjoyed the heck out of this one. Was it too short? Yes, I wish we would have gotten a look at how their weekend played out a bit more, but I found it pretty well written. No silly OTT drama (though I figured out the baddie from word go) No juvenile dialogue. An adorable baby. An OK epilogue (would have liked a look farther into the future) Overall, just a nice and quick and sexy read...
