A well written memoir of the hideous childhood of the Crump family at the hands of their father. The author, Colin, along with the more well known Barry, and older brother Bill, ensured, with their mother savage violence and mental torture at the hands of a bully and just an awful man. Worse he managed to keep it hidden from many, who thought of him as a nice guy.
Tells a lot of the history of Barry Crump, and a lot of what made him the man he is - very little of it was ever put to paper by Barry himself.
