(2012) So two stars on Goodreads means, “it's okay” and I'm not even sure of that. Not a fan. Illustrations did not impress me, nor did the text. Glad it's a library book and not a new purchase.
Update: Got for a dollar used. Might as well with it being an award winner...
(2020) Read this one again, to my current three-year-old daughter, and I'm still not uber impressed with it as to make it an award winner. She absolutely adored it and was ecstatic to discover the frog on each page. I do see how we can discuss alliteration and seasons and find-it games, but I have enjoyed other books more so. Interesting that she has chosen former 2-star books today.
