Incapable

The angst quotient is almost too high in this one, but Paton's lyrical language and gift for characterization carry the day. The romance between Damon and Georgia seems to be 90 percent crisis, but it's impossible to deny their chemistry. The love story is supplemented nicely by Damon's relationships with four friends he's known since childhood that feature both unconditional support and long-held secrets. Can't say too much without revealing major plot points, but my advice is to stick with it through a deliberately vague and somewhat slow first 10 percent; once the first twist hits, you'll be hooked.
