I chose this book because Mary Robinette Kowl is the reader and the story is about fairy tale characters in the modern world, policing the fairy tales. Everything about it seemed like something I would enjoy. Fables + Ben Aaronovitch sounds like a good match. But I still find Seanan McGuire an iffy writer. Several of the characters were just bitchy with no real rationale.

Sad. I wanted to like it but literally stopped on Friday with only 8 minutes left. I listened to the last few minutes grudgingly, just to say I did finish it.

I'm just going to go back and read Kowal's books. Much more enjoyable.
