Into the Woods

I really enjoyed the story stories from The Hollows, some more than others. I did think the additional non-Hollow stories were weird additions to this, but I enjoyed some of those too...

Few minor spoilers for The Hollows series

Bespelled: 4 stars
Ceri & Al... short, heart-breaking, but I really enjoyed it. I loved the background we finally got on these two. Especially since we learn more about Al and his thoughts.

Two Ghosts For Sister Rachel: 4 stars
This one I've read before and I like the story. Background on how Pierce and Rachel met and the vampire they take down :) Very fun! I also liked Robbie's inclusion, because I wished more of Rachel's family would be included in the story.

Undead in the Garden of Good and Evil: 3 stars
I've read this one before as well. This one is about Ivy.... I didn't like this one as much, if only because it truly highlights how difficult and humiliating it is being a vampire. It made it hard to read, but I liked it.

Dirty Magic: 2 stars
I really didn't like Mia's (the banshee) story. She shows up in Undead in the Garden of Good and Evil and in the main series. It is hard to like a series when you dislike what the character is doing.
I ended up not caring.

The Bridges of Eden Park: 3 stars
This one... meh. I loved a Kisten scene – I enjoyed his character even if I felt he became flat in the series :/ We learn more about vampires and have a good fight scene, but not much sustenance in this one.

Ley Line Drifter: 4 stars
Jenks and Bis get their own story!! I always wondered how that pot how a dent in it... and where Daryl came from. Seeing Matalina was bittersweet, but I enjoyed the pixy perspective and learning more about Jenks' evolving role with the pixies.

Million Dollar Baby: 5 stars
I'M SO GLAD WE GOT THIS STORY.
I really wanted to know what happened when Trent and Jenks went to Seattle. I really like getting into Trent's head and understanding his thoughts. This is a decently long story and I loved all of it.

NON-Hollows stories
Pet Shop Boys: 2 stars
I like how Vampires are, Vamps/fae hybrid. I just didn't understand anything. What is important about Cooper? What is Kay? What was going on in that club?? I think if it was fleshed out into a novel I might like it... maybe.

Temson Estates: 2.5 stars
Sweet short story. I like the concept I guess, but I'll forget about this one in no time.

Spider's Silk: 3 stars
This was an interesting story, another play on the dryad myth. Definitely felt like a solid standalone story and the ending had me going “Oh...yikes”

Grace: 5 stars
Why is this not a full series?!!? Can I get more of this please??? I love the concept, love the characters, and I just want to know more!! Also, how horrible would it be to live in a world where most people can't have coffee or chocolate bars?

All in all, the best story was Million Dollar Baby and is the reason I would suggest people pick this book up.
