Did the author read the books?

The writing itself was mostly free of errors this time. I will say I don't like the embellishment in certain word choices - just the facts please! The stuff about Edith was especially grating - is there anything that backs any of that up?

Some of the book related information is false. The Hobbit was NOT the quest for the Ring - that was incidental to that story. More importantly, LotR is NOT an allegory!!! There are no “biblical proportions” to his writing - he even said as much in the beginning notes to LotR.
