Julie and Julia

This book came recommended to me by my aunt, who loved it. I heard about this book about two years ago, before the movie buzz, but never got around to reading it. I've read many food and cooking memoirs (most recently, Giulia Melucci's I Loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti). While I found Julie and Julia to be an entertaining read, I did not particularly love it.
