Wasn't a fan of the rhyming text, but I did like the Hawaiian vocabulary, helpful/well meaning friends, wise grandmother and most importantly the blurb at the end of the book about ‘opihi being raised in a lab and how they needed the powerful ocean waves to become their usual shape.
