I'm not sure what I was expecting as poetry isn't usually my forte. I've seen snippets of JR Rogue posted on IG and other blogs so I was anxious to read a book of hers. I could see myself loving the heck out of these poems at another point in my life as they all deal with heartbreak and wanting someone who doesn't want you back and who hasn't been there? But being that I'm happily married now, I couldn't really connect with the poems in this book. I hope to read more of her poetry eventually that maybe will strike a chord with me because the potential is definitely there.
