Well that took a turn. This is my first time giving an SJ Tilly book less than 4 stars and truthfully if it was for Alex, our main male character and my need for a fluffy read, this would have been a 2 stars. There was absolutely no plot which I normally don't mind if there is character development. Which now I'm thinking about it, there was none. It felt like they digressed. I am not so skinny girl myself and I can't empathize with many of Tilly's characters about insecurities and how that can play in relationships with insecurities. But it wasn't an issue this whole book, maybe mentioned once. Then it is the whole damn third act break up. It took one insecure thought to rip this “unimaginable” love between these two characters away. So many times our FMC talked about feeling so safe with him but that's all it took? Be so fr. On top of that, the layout of this book with the extremely short chapters was not my thing. I was reading this via audio and it was so odd hearing a character for 30 seconds and I felt like half way through their dialogue just change pov's.

Now I've written this, it is definitely a good 2ish. I liked Axel and it was cute to listen to until the last 25%.
