Totally fast-paced, addicting, and enjoyable. I loved Day's personality because it SURPRISED me. I've always thought that YA, dystopian guys were ALWAYS the same ( and I mean I love that they are the same lmao) But Day? ANOTHER WHOLE STORY. HE's always so caring but not mean. I loved that. June was alright. She turned 360 degrees in character development. Did I hate her? Well, I kind of did. But overall I liked her. But yeah she's the same as any other YA, dystopian girl. to me. But in the end, she turned out better in my opinion.
What I still can't UNDERSTAND, is WHY THE HECK ARE THIS CHARACTERS 15??????
If they were 17 I would've accepted, but in my opinion, they DON'T act 15 AT ALL. Taking all those decisions and being 15?? Nah I can't believe it. And is not because they were making “bad” decisions, just that they were WAY too mature for being 15.
Another thing, I LOVE enemies to lovers. But this one was too... rushed? I don't know. I didn't have any feelings at all for them. Like I thought it was cute and all, but I didn't have those butterflies I always have.
For some reason, I even shipped June with Thomas Lmao.
Those were NOT my favorite things about this. But overall ADDICTING. And I WOUld recommend.
I picked this book mostly because I wanted that old YA, dystopia I used to always loved. And I'm right I LOVE 2010s dystopia. For some reason it even reminded me of the Shatter Me series.
