you can try to make me feel bad for enjoying this but you won't
it's not any better than the original twilight, which i haven't read in at least 7 years but can distinctly remember not enjoying the character development or the story at all (i only became interested in the series during the second book, when there's actual world building and character development). that being said, it tickles my pickle that this gender-bent version of twilight exists and puts a fun new twist on the story.
parting blow: stop giving stephenie meyer so much grief. bad books exist but people can still write and enjoy them.
I thought this would be interesting, however I just found it a bit blah. Within the first few pages, I decided I didn't need this version.
It felt like she just searched and replaced all names with this book. Was exactly the same until the end, at which point it became deeply uncompelling.

The ending felt a bit rushed, but I enjoyed the idea of Beau ending as a vampire sooner than Bella.
