"I'm not sure I want to be a hero anymore."
Having achieved her dream of becoming the first female knight errant, Alanna of Trebond is not sure what to do next. Perhaps being a knight errant is not all that Alanna needs....But Alanna must push her uncertainty aside when a new challenge arises. She must recover the Dominion Jewel, a legendary gem with enormous power for good -- but only in the right hands. And she must work quickly. Tortall is in great danger, and Alanna's archenemy, Duke Roger, is back -- and more powerful than ever. In this final book of the Song of the Lioness quartet, Alanna discovers that she indeed has a future worthy of her mythic past -- both as a warrior and as a woman.

I enjoyed my time with Alanna (and of course Faithless!) I felt like this one maybe dragged a bit for me but overall I am content with this finale.
The final installment on the Alanna/Lioness books. This one is longer than the others and puts Alanna through the paces as she strives to be a better warrior and figure out her role in the kingdom. Enjoyable YA read - like cotton candy and a good reading escape.
Re-read of this series is now complete!! UGH THE FEELS!!!
I ended up reading so fast I missed some parts, but I still really enjoyed it. This time I really was able to see how the author's writing has improved and I really liked that.
I enjoyed the full series, but I feel like this time through I was able to enjoy each book separately.
I like who she ends up with, I like how things concluded, but yes there were a few loose ends.... which I won't go into so I do not have to leave spoilers.
George will forever be my fictional crush <3 lol I think this thief lead me to liking thieves and pushed me to read other books about thieves cough (Six of Crows) cough
I owe this series a lot. It really fueled my love for reading and for women being able to fight back against their system. I will forever be grateful to this amazing series.
