Long Shot

Ho-ly shit. This book.

I went into this expecting a light hearted sports romance, but got very much the opposite. It was amazing but perhaps could do with the blurb being rewritten to be a bit more accurate and warn readers of the heavy topics in the story.

To say this is heavy is actually an understatement, it is very heavily focused on domestic violence with very graphic on page abuse and rape. Be warned.

However this is also totally about courage, survival, hope and love. Iris and August, and of course Sarai, are incredible characters and their story will be hard to forget.
