The beautiful coroner had saved his life. To save hers, he would make her immortal....to the last.Rachel Garrett awoke surprised. All she'd wanted was to get off the night shift in the morgue; now here she was staggering to her feet naked and in a strange place. But everything would be all right. She'd just make like a bat out of— Then she saw the man of her dreams emerging from his...coffin? And the look in his bright silver eyes said they'd be spending a lot of time together. It took several tries to get past the first part of the book, but once I accomplished that, it was well worth the effort. The Argeneaus have a unique brand of crazy, and it is fun to watch them bumble, fumble, and rumble with the trouble that comes their way.

This is probably my third or fourth Argeneau book that I've read and I really enjoyed it. I have to admit that I'm a bit surprised I like the series so much, but I find the characters really endearing. It's fun to have a series to read again since you can get so connected with characters.
Rachel Garrett is a night shift coroner and a body is brought in of Etienne Argeneau shot earlier. She had a fever so when he comes to life she thinks it was just a fever hallucination. But then Etienne is killed again and the madman who did tried to finish him off but kills Rachel instead. Then Etienne turns her to save her life since she gave her life for him. This was a quick read, very enjoyable.
