This book picks up 2 months after the events of the first book I believe and Caden and Makenna have been inseparable since then but other factors are going to test them. In this book Caden gets to meet Makenna's family as well as an ex boyfriend which I honestly feel like that could have been left out because there was enough drama without him adding to it but that being sad he's a big reason why we get a look at the mental health struggle that Caden goes through. He's had it under control for years but things happen in this book to make him kind of spiral. I feel like the author portrayed this really well. I don't have any personal experience with this but just reading about his spiral had me feeling like I was spiraling right along side him. I do wish there was a little more communication but I understand why there wasn't. Overall I'm glad I finally read this duology and I did enjoy this conclusion.
