Thank you to Harper Collins Australia for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was your classic YA romance novel.
I did enjoy this book, however I felt the first half was quite repetitive like how did lou not even consider that isabel liked her for 200 pages when people had literally commented on it . I quite disliked Isabel for a large portion of the book, as she made unlikeable decisions with little explanation??? Her dad and brother did not seem to think the same way as her so some exploration into why she held classist views and the her family dynamic would have been great.
I loved the ADHD rep in this book! It was refreshing to read a queer YA book where the queerness of the characters is not an issue of contention amongst friends and families but is embraced! That sort of positive representation is absolutely needed in the young adult space 🥰
If you are looking for a quick, easy
romance with some important messages scattered throughout, this is definitely the book for you!
