This was a fun and easy-to-read story. Nothing spectacular for me, but I did enjoy the characters.
Content: lots of kisses with unmarried pairs; a birth scene
What blew off a star for me was one out-of-place and inappropriate comment...a father catches his son kissing a girl-in-disguise stable hand. When he gets scolded, the son flippantly remarks, in another scene, to the girl, “I think he was just relieved you were a girl.” Now, I really did NOT want to have that suggestion put into my head, and it would probably have not even occurred to a father in the 1920s.
