Luck in the Shadows

Although I came close a couple of times early on to DNFing this book (mostly because of the glacial pace, but there was also that creepy moment where a very secondary character sounded like a pedophile) I'm glad I didn't. While, if I'd weigh the pros and cons of the story, I'd find more cons than pros, I did truly enjoy reading it.

(Also, it takes a while before any women of true import are introduced but when they finally - finally! - are, it's well worth the wait!)
