The stars are granted because the 740 pages are fluid enough; few are worth skipping and the writing is good. But the book itself for me was too depressing for a chick lit: it starts with Lucy talking about her depression and it goes on with her struggle admitting her hatred for her mom snd the fact her dad is an alcoholic , which of course tainted all her romantic relationships- it takes her forever to see that, though. Even longer to see that maybe her true love is her old friend and the tarot reader might be right- even if the book ends without an answer for that and other unhappy endings for everyone just incase you expected... chick lit.
